Breed standard
CONFORMATION
- The head must carry high and maintain an elegant appearance.
- The withers slope slightly but set high.
- Head has flat forehead and prominent eyes.
- Profile is straight or slightly concave.
- Neck is average length and well-formed.
- Legs are strong, dry and muscular.Hooves are hard and sound.
COAT
- Markings are kept to a minimal, small blazes and stripes are acceptable.
- The coat of the horse must never contain any part colourings or odd spots.
- Bay, brown, black, chestnut and sometimes but very rarely a grey can be seen as an acceptable coat to the registry.
- Faults such as stockings over the knee are undesirable and random white splotches on the underbelly or the quarters are strictly forbidden.
- Slightly curled mane and tail.
TEMPERAMENT
- The temperament must be soft, gentle and calm this benefits the rider of many ages.
- Calm and ambitious.
- The temperament of this breed is alert, easy going, trustworthy and tame.
- This is for the rider to be ensured that this breed will be protective but yet easy.
